Repair log and customer documents: work order, certificate, warranty card
A repair log is not for reporting. It helps you remember in six months exactly what you did to a particular TV, and to back up the warranty.
What to record
- The customer and contacts, model, chassis, serial number.
- The fault as the customer described it and what you actually found.
- Work done and replaced parts, labour and parts cost.
- Warranty period and status (received, in progress, ready, handed over).
- Attachments: board photos before and after, a firmware dump, files.
Why
- Repeat repairs. If you have seen the same model or chassis before, you see the earlier solution.
- Warranty disputes. The record shows which part was replaced and when.
- Dump copy. Your files sit next to the card.

Customer documents
From the card FW Tool creates PDFs: a work order (on receipt), a work certificate (on handover) and a warranty card. Your logo and details from the technician profile are filled in.
Fill in the profile once and then documents are created with a button click.
Check the document form against the requirements of your country and tax regime. The template is a basis, not legal advice.
